It’s ridiculously easy to make an app now. Slop is everywhere. But it doesn’t have to be.

Slop is a decision. Usually one that involves ignoring your better instincts as a machine hustles to build something you’ve barely had a chance to think about.

The best products are beautiful and elegant in their simplicity. Easy to use and polished even though there’s great complexity under the surface. Getting to that point takes hours upon hours of sweating the small stuff. Tuning the details and removing anything that gets in the way or doesn’t add value.

Building with AI doesn’t stop you from sweating the small stuff. In fact, it makes it easier to do. Building is so much cheaper that you can spend more time on the product itself.
